Faculty Grant Proposals to External Organizations

Modified on Wed, Mar 18 at 1:30 PM

Faculty interested in submitting a proposal for a grant from an organization external to Lesley should complete this dynamic form.

The routing of the form is a bit different from typical dynamic forms in that there will be a pre-approval process and a final approval process using the same form. By using the same form, no one will need to reenter any information, and all information will be stored in one place.

When initiating the form as a potential Principal Investigator (with co-PI’s, only one person needs to submit the form), you will be asked to provide some general information including how the work aligns with Lesley’s mission and areas of focus, how Lesley would benefit from the work proposed, and a project summary.

For pre-approval, you will not submit a detailed project abstract, budget, nor budget justification.

If your proposal is pre-approved based on this limited amount of information, you will be asked to resubmit the form (without having to reenter any information), this time adding a detailed project summary, budget, and budget justification to be considered via a more comprehensive review / approval process.

If your proposal is ultimately approved by your Vice Provost, the Provost, the Chief Operating Officer, the Associate Vice President of Finance/Controller, the Chief Financial Officer, and the President, you will be notified by Dynamic Forms and will be invited to contact Steve Shapiro (steven.shapiro@lesley.edu), Vice Provost for Academic Administration and Online Programs, to obtain any assistance and guidance in submitting your proposal to the funding agency.

If anyone in the list of people reviewing your grant proposal has a question or concern about it, they will reply to you via the Dynamic Form system, and you will receive an email message with these questions/concerns.

Please submit requests for pre-approval as soon as possible and no less than two months before the external organization's due date for the grant proposal. Requests for final approval should be submitted as soon as possible and no less than one month before the due date.

If you have any concerns about meeting this timeline, or have any other external grant-related questions, concerns, or suggestions, please reach out to Steve Shapiro.
