Q. Will this new parking setup be permanent?

A. No. We are working on getting a license plate reading system that eliminates the need for most physical permits.

 

Q. How do I purchase a parking permit?  

A. Please see the instructions. (Separate document)

 

Q. Who is eligible to buy a parking pass?

A. All non-resident students, faculty, staff, and adjuncts can purchase a parking pass.

 

Q. Where can I park? Where is the parking pass valid?

A. All barcoded semester permits are valid in all lots on all campuses. Day permits are valid on Doble and South Campus, and Lot R (no parking gates) at the Porter Campus.  Please be mindful of parking regulations.

Q. Will I be guaranteed a permit?

A. No. Permits are first come first served.

 

Q. Are parking spaces guaranteed?

A. Parking spaces are available on a first come first serve basis.

 

Q. My department used to pay part of my permit.  Can I still arrange for that?

A. No. Those types of permits are no longer offered.

 

Q. I have an ADA or Medical Accommodation.  What do I do?

A.  Students contact Access Services.  Faculty, Staff, and Adjuncts contact Human Resources.

 

Q. Are there day/guest passes available?

A. Yes. A limited number of day passes are available at the Doble Public Safety Office, 34 Mellen Street, Cambridge, MA 02138. Monday through Friday: 50 day passes are available each day. Saturday and Sunday there is no limit. The price is $11.00 a day with a maximum of 5 days purchased at a time. Public Safety can accept, Cash, Check, or CashLynx. They cannot accept credit/debit cards at this time.

 

Q. Can I still pay by the hour at University Hall?

A. Yes hourly rates are still available with a lower rate available to the Lesley Community.

              Lesley University Photo ID card is required.

 

Q. What happens if I lose my University Hall parking gate paper ticket?

A. Lost tickets pay the 8+ hour rate.

 

Q. What happens If I park on campus without a parking permit?

A. Vehicles without a pass are subject to ticket and tow.  See above on Lesley parking regulations.

 

Q. What happens if I lose my parking permit?

A. Semester sticker permits can be reordered by emailing lesleycard@lesley.edu. A $4.95 shipping and handling fee

Q. I work/teach, on multiple campuses. Can I park where I am working/teaching?

A. Yes. Parking passes are valid at each campus.

 

Q. Can I get a refund on my parking permit?

A.  Day passes are non-refundable or exchangeable. Semester permits can only be refunded for a prorated amount, if you separate from the University. To cancel your semester permit email lesleycard@lesley.edu.

 

Q. Where do I put my Parking Permit Sticker?

A. Any vehicle parked on the Lesley University campus must have a parking pass, either in a semester sticker or printed pass form. Printed passes should be CLEARLY displayed and readable on the vehicle's dashboard, and semester stickers should be CLEARLY displayed and readable on the driver’s side rear window. If the sticker cannot be clearly displayed on the driver’s side rear window, the sticker must be clearly displayed and readable on one of the vehicle's windows.
