Workday supports federal, state, and local withholding forms, such as the Federal W-4: Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate. Employees can access federal and state and local forms. Workday defaults the employees work state and automatically selects the primary state form, and employees can select additional forms.
As a new hire, you will receive two onboarding tasks to complete state and federal tax withholdings.
New Hire
From your Awaiting Your Action inbox, you will see two onboard tasks Complete Federal Withholding Elections and Complete State and Local Withholding Elections.
Complete all relevant fields in relation to your tax preferences.
Check the box I Agree to acknowledge the form.
Click Submit to save your changes.
Enrolling in Tax Elections for the First Time
If you are enrolling for the first time in State and/or Federal Tax Elections, you will launch the following two tasks by searching for them in the search engine on the Workday homepage.
Federal Tax Elections: Complete Federal Withholding Elections
State Tax Elections: Complete State and Local Withholding Elections
Once you click the action, complete all relevant fields in relation to your tax preferences.
Check the box I Agree to acknowledge the form.
Click Submit or OK to save your changes.
