About Blackboard Ultra

Lesley University is transitioning to Blackboard Ultra, the new and improved version of Blackboard. Ultra courses have been redesigned from the ground up and feature a clean modern interface, responsive mobile friendly experience, consistent and intuitive navigation, improved accessibility, streamlined grading, and more.


Faculty Training Options

Choose the training option that best suits your needs! Whether you prefer to go it alone, or want extra support and training on your journey, we have an Ultra training for you.

Need a hand with your Blackboard course? Whether you're new to Blackboard Ultra or an experienced user looking to refine your course, the eLearning team is here to help. Drop in for personalized support, practical tips, and answers to your questions. Bring your course materials, explore new Ultra features, organize content, troubleshoot challenges, or simply set aside dedicated time to work on your course with expert guidance readily available.


These informal sessions are held online via Zoom. No appointments, presentations, or registration required. Just drop in, get the support you need, and stay as long as you'd like.

Things to Do in Ultra Course View

Ready to start working in Ultra but aren't sure where to start? Use your My Space course to practice using the various tools and features. The following guides will walk you through many of the tools and tasks. 


Things to Do in Ultra Course View Part 1: This step-by-step guide will walk you through some of the basic features of Blackboard Ultra Course View, including creating an Ultra document, using the text editor, creating folders and modules, creating assignments and tests, creating discussions, and more. 


Things to Do in Ultra Course View Part 2This step-by-step guide will walk you through some of the more administrative features of Blackboard Ultra Course View, including copying content from a previous course, using batch edit, tracking attendance, setting up the gradebook, grading, and more.

Student Training Options

myLesley Student Orientation

The myLesley Student Orientation Self-Paced Course has been designed to prepare you to successfully use myLesley/Blackboard for your coursework. You may be new to online learning, new to Blackboard Ultra, or both. In this course, we will cover the basics of so that you know what it is, how to navigate it, how to use it to complete your course work, and how it will benefit you.  


You may access this course at any time from the Organizations link in the main navigation. This course will take approximately 1-2 hours to complete and you may go back to it at any time.
