Hourly, non-exempt colleagues are required to clock in/out and enter all time off breaks and meal periods in Workday every week. This job aid contains information on how enter your time in.
Accessing Enter My Time
From the Workday Homepage, click the My Lesley Dashboard application located on the right-hand hand side under Your Top Apps.
Under the My Time Off table, click Enter My Time.
From the calendar view you have multiple options to enter your time. Select the week, the day, or autofill from your work schedule.
Under the Actions drop-down, you can select various actions from Auto-fill from Prior Week, Quick Add, and much more.
Auto-fill From Prior Week
This option will bring in time blocks from the previous week. You will want to select which prior week you want to auto-fill. Ensure those blocks are accurate and make adjustments as necessary.
Auto-fill From Schedule (Professional Staff)
This action allows you to auto-fill your work week but the scheduled that is saved into Workday. When you click Auto-fill From Schedule, you will be directed to a screen where you can see the days workers and times in and out. You have the option to select which days you want to fill.
Quick Add
Choose the days of the week and the time you were in and out. You can select more than one entry by clicking the Add action.
Enter Time by Day or Week
Select the day of the week you worked to enter your time. A pop up will be displayed to enter for the day. You will clock in/out for all approved breaks and lunches.
Once you have entered your time, the hours will total in the unit section. Add a comment if necessary. Click OK when finished. Repeat the same steps for all days you worked.
IMPORTANT: You’ll lose the time you just entered if you leave this page without saving.
Submit Time
Upon completing entering your time, your calendar will display all the days entered in grey with a status of Not Submitted.
Review your Summary of hours in the upper right corner. Ensure the total hours for the week are accurate. Click Review to continue.
Verify all hours are accurate and click Submit. Notice your calendar now shows work time submitted.
Holidays
All holiday time will automatically be recorded on your absence calendar. You will not need to select the day/hours. However, if you choose to autofill your schedule, you must remove the holiday from your selected values.
