This job aid provides managers with step-by-step instructions for setting up their new hire’s onboarding dashboard in Workday.
Creating a New Hire Onboarding Dashboard
From the Workday Home page:
- Under Awaiting Your Action, click the Onboarding Setup for Hire inbox task.
- Complete the Onboarding Setup page for the new hire.
Note: The Onboarding Dashboard is pre-populated with a generic message to the new hire, but this field is completely customizable.
- Under the People to Meet tab, add each employee that you believe the new hire should meet with and be introduced to. You can click the X to remove an employee from the list, and choose the icon to add additional employees.
Note: Check the Notify box if you'd like the employees selected to receive an email notification that they have been added to this list.
- Under the Helpful Contacts tab, add each employee that you feel would be a helpful contact for the new employee. You can click the X to remove an employee from the list, and choose the icon to add additional employees.
Note: Check the Notify box if you'd like the employees selected to receive an email notification that they have been added to this list. You can customize the email notification message:
- Click Submit.
